The European Commission says it will raise research and education standards by helping institutions trailblaze teaching methods such as ‘micro-credentials’ and adult-learning programmes.
“Europe is ready for bold educational innovation”, Themis Christophidou (pictured), the Commission’s director-general for education, told an event on the European Universities Initiative (EUI), the EU’s scheme to promote cross-border cooperation via joint programmes and mobility schemes.
