Students should co-design assessment, says EUA

European University Association report warns of diverse challenges and problems in assessment systems

Higher education institutions should try to get students more involved in shaping how they are assessed, the European University Association recommended in a report published on 17 March.

Despite political and institutional support for assessment co-creation, “core practices in student assessment often remain problematic, and teachers and institutions face diverse challenges in using research to improve assessment and feedback,” the report based on work by a dedicated peer group said.
