Each of the 17 original European University alliances will receive an extra €2 million
The first 17 alliances of higher education institutions funded through the EU’s European Universities Initiative will each receive an additional €2 million over three years from Horizon 2020, the European Commission has announced.
The €34m is on top of previous funding of up to €5m over three years that each of the 17 alliances were allocated from the Erasmus+ mobility programme in 2019. It brings the 17 alliances in line with 24 more that were allocated funding in the second round of the initiative, announced on 9 July.
