EU university networks ‘should focus solely on lifelong learning’

Pioneer consortium from European University Initiative says programme must not push traditional degrees

One of the pioneering pan-European networks set up under the EU’s European University Initiative has said the programme must not push traditional degrees and should focus instead on lifelong learning.

The EU has put great store in the EUI networks, funding 41 of them in a pilot stage with up to €7 million each from its Erasmus+ mobility scheme and Horizon Europe R&D programme.
