Baltic and Benelux nations do deal on researcher qualifications

“Unique” deal between Estonia, Belgium and other nations to recognise qualifications could increase academic mobility

Researchers may soon be able to move more easily between jobs in the Baltic and Benelux regions, after six nations agreed to automatically recognise each other’s master’s and doctoral qualifications.

The Estonian government said the deal between it and Latvia, Lithuania, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands would foster mobility when it comes into force in all six countries in three months.
