EU member states cautious in developing cross-border degree as university alliances call for more support
The European Commission will launch a pilot to test a ‘label’ for joint European degrees before the summer, as part of a push to increase cooperation in higher education across Europe.
But the Commission’s plans have met with resistance from some EU member states, with a Commission official saying there had been “passionate debates” about how to move towards European degrees.
