University alliances hope EU will back existing support network

€1.5 million is on offer for European Universities Initiative to form Community of Practice

The alliances formed through the EU’s scheme for financing cross-border university collaboration are hoping that an existing network will benefit from the bloc’s new offer of €1.5 million for the alliances to form a Community of Practice.  

At the beginning of the month, the European Commission opened a fifth funding call for new alliances to form under the European Universities Initiative, which supports higher education institutions working together on projects such as joint campuses and courses.
