Commission adopts proposals on digital skills and announces plans for a Cybersecurity Skills Academy

The European Commission has called for a “massive boost” in enabling digital education and providing digital skills across the EU, saying that efforts so far have not produced systemic transformation.

On 18 April, the Commission adopted two sets of proposals for the Council of the EU member state governments to back, one calling for the creation of “a coherent framework of investment, governance and teacher training” and the other setting out recommendations for all levels of education.
