Science Europe signs Dora and makes assessment suggestions

Group of research funders and performers to create forum for discussing reforms

Science Europe has signed the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment, indicating its support for improving how assessment is carried out, and has released recommendations for how that could be done.

The group of major research funding and performing organisations announced on 27 April that it had joined over 2,800 other research organisations in supporting the declaration, also known as Dora, which launched in 2012 and has been a key initiative in the wider push to reform research assessment.
