EUI alliances need to ‘step out of academic silos’

    

Further support needed for alliances to develop connections between research, education and innovation, report finds

Higher education institutions involved in the EU’s scheme for financing cross-border collaboration need to “step outside of their academic silos”, a report has found.

In the report, the European Commission’s Research Executive Agency assessed the progress of the first set of 17 alliances formed under the European Universities Initiative, which aims to support the modernisation of universities as well as collaborations between them.
