Open Society Foundations chair says support for Central European University will continue, despite cuts
The Open Society Foundations, a non-profit organisation that supports civil society groups in fields including public health and education, has pledged ongoing support for Europe despite major planned changes to its funding.
OSF chair Alex Soros, son of the foundation’s billionaire founder George Soros, wrote in an article for the news outlet Politico on 31 August that the foundation was “not leaving” the continent following reports of funding cuts and other changes.
