Small advanced economies discuss science

Investment in science and innovation was at the centre of talks between senior representatives from six countries with small advanced economies last week.

The two-day forum, hosted by the New Zealand government on 8 to 10 November, included representatives from Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Israel, New Zealand and Singapore.

The meeting was jointly led by the prime minister’s chief science adviser, Sir Peter Gluckman, who tweeted about its success: “Small advanced economies meeting v valuable – many common insights into the challenges and opportunities for small nation R&D.”
