Canterbury seeks to strengthen ties with China

The University of Canterbury and Tsinghua University in Beijing will work together on degree programmes, student and research exchanges, the university announced on 9 August.

The two institutions will facilitate study and research visits in areas such as economics, the humanities, journalism, fine arts and teacher training. Plans for joint degrees include fast track master’s degrees and banking programmes, engineering, entrepreneurship and student innovation.

Tsinghua University already hold existing partnerships with university in Auckland and the Otago region.
