New Zealand funds an extra $2m for public engagement

New Zealand's government has announced the latest round of calls for its Unlocking Curious Minds programme, to engage young people in science.

Following the fund’s pilot in 2015, which allocated $1.9 million, a further $2m is to be provided this year, the government announced on 15 January.

Grants of up to $30,000 will fund local projects and larger funds of up to $150,000 will be available for initiatives at the regional or national scale.
