More ‘frequent and intense’ droughts predicted

Extreme weather patterns that led to one of New Zealand’s most devastating droughts in 2013 are likely to reoccur due to global climate change, according to scientists at Victoria University of Wellington.

The study is published online in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres.
