Department of Conservation in New Zealand provides support for University of Canterbury research
The University of Canterbury has received a NZ$1.4 million grant to develop long-lasting feral pest lures.
Researchers at the university plan to use the grant to create chemical lures for seven kinds of mammal pest: stoats; ferrets and weasels; Norway, ship and Pacific rats; and feral cats.
