Grant for city farm to create blueprint for suburban food crops

Project will initiate ‘innovative approaches to food production, marketing and consumption’

An urban backyard farm in Taranaki has received a $100,000 agriculture research grant to develop a network of city-based commercial food producers.

The grant will support a research partnership between Massey University and Farm Next Door, a suburban farm in New Plymouth that is developing a group of market gardens across the Taranaki region in the North Island.
