Prime minister pledges investment in renewable energy research and business innovation if re-elected
New Zealand’s prime minister Jacinda Ardern has announced a five-point plan for the country’s economic recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic as part of the NZ Labour Party’s campaign strategy for the September general election.
Speaking at the campaign launch on 5 July, Ardern pledged to invest in research to increase renewable energy uptake and “decarbonise the economy” if Labour is re-elected on 19 September.
