Degree to help meet demand for robotics and renewables

Announcement of electronic engineering qualification coincides with launch of national energy development centre

Victoria University of Wellington is to offer a degree in electrical and electronic engineering in 2021 to meet New Zealand’s growing demand for tertiary qualifications in robotics, renewable energy and machine learning.

The announcement coincides with prime minister Jacinda Ardern’s launch of Ara Ake, a national energy development centre in the Taranaki region that will lead development of renewable energy technologies.
