Campaigners call for a new authority to investigate harassment in New Zealand universities
New Zealand academics have launched a national campaign to reform how claims of sexual harassment and bullying at universities are handled.
The Stop Sexual Harassment on Campus (SSHC) campaign, launched on August 21, comes after allegations of harassment at New Zealand universities. The SSHOC campaigners say that over the past nine years at least a dozen people who have made harassment and bullying complaints have been gagged by the use of non-disclosure agreements with victims comprising both staff and students.
