Aerospace facilities and conservation work planned for New Zealand’s Kaitōrete Spit in government-Māori deal

New Zealand’s space industry is to get a new location near Christchurch.

The Kaitōrete Spit, a 25-kilometre-long piece of land in the Canterbury region on the South Island, will host space launch facilities in a deal that also provides money for conservation work in the area.
