Proposed changes to health legislation get mixed response

    

New Zealanders for Health Research backs some committee recommendations but emphasises need for evidence-based services

The campaign group New Zealanders for Health Research has welcomed the inclusion of health research provisions in legislation reforming the country’s health system.

A report to parliament on the legislation from the Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Legislation Committee was released in late April, recommending that the bill be passed with some changes. There were more than 4,600 public submissions.
