Current system has “presided over alarming environmental decline” in New Zealand
Sweeping changes to ocean conservation and research are needed in New Zealand, a report has said.
The Breaking Wave report, released on 9 June by the Environmental Defence Society, a not-for-profit organisation, says “the system we have at the moment has presided over a period of alarming environmental decline, thereby failing in one of its key purposes”.
