NZ union claims share of university spending on staff is falling, but vice-chancellors hit back

The Tertiary Education Union in New Zealand has called for staff to get a greater share of university funds.

On 22 August, the TEU published a study of the annual reports of the country’s eight universities, showing strong growth in operating revenues and expenditure but far lower growth in spending on staff.
