New Zealand post-disaster guidelines urge sensitivity and warn against causing further stress to victims

Researchers should be cautious and sensitive when working in areas affected by natural disasters, a leading disaster research body has said.

A “post-disaster research” guidance paper has been reissued by Resilience to Nature’s Challenges, a New Zealand National Science Challenge, in response to the widespread disruption caused by Cyclone Gabrielle and recent floods.
