New Zealand’s health research advocacy body closes its doors

NZHR board to look for alternative funding model until October, after organisation runs out of cash

New Zealanders for Health Research, an outfit advocating for more health research funding, has gone “into recess”, citing financial issues.

In a June announcement, the body said that “financially it has been a difficult year for NZHR”.
