NZ government appoints panel to guide national research priorities

Panel led by Healthier Lives chair Jerry Mateparae will recommend priorities by end of 2023

A panel to recommend New Zealand’s national research priorities will be led by Jerry Mateparae, a former high commissioner to the UK.

Mateparae (pictured) is currently chair of the Healthier Lives National Science Challenge, one of 11 challenges set up by the government to address science-based issues.
