Education ‘hard wired into Scotland’s DNA’, says minister

Michael Russell, the Scottish minister for education and learning, has reiterated the Scottish National Party’s commitment to free education.

Speaking at the SNP annual party conference on 23 October, he praised the country’s achievement in higher education and research, noting that it had five universities among the world’s top 200.
