Labour reveals concern for innovation in science policy review

While science and innovation may not appear to be at the top of Labour’s agenda Chi Onwurah, shadow science minister, insists that they form an essential part of the party’s thinking in opposition.

Speaking at a fringe event at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool on 26 September, Onwurah revealed that the party has so far identified four areas—higher education, infrastructure, competition and finance—for its policy review on science and innovation.
