Science-advice review process to change, says Willetts

The way the government monitors the use of science and engineering within departments is set to change from 2012, science minister David Willetts has told the House of Commons. Responding to questions from the Labour science spokeswoman Chi Onwurah, Willetts said that the Science and Engineering Assurance programme, undertaken by the Government Office for Science, would not continue in the same way once completed in 2012. A successor to the programme is being developed.
