1994 Group backs growth of overseas campuses

UK universities setting up more campuses abroad could be a way to maintain the country’s leading role in international education, says a policy report by the 1994 Group of universities.

The report, “Strategies and trends in the internationalisation of UK universities”, was published on 25 November. It says that current visa restrictions will lead to a drop in international student numbers in the UK, giving the impression that the country is “closed for business”.
