Life-sciences strategy to centre on NHS innovation

The UK government’s forthcoming life-sciences strategy will tackle the problems of translational research and address how the NHS can improve its uptake of innovation, Research Fortnight has learned.

The strategy is likely to be aligned with a report due out this month from the NHS chief executive, David Nicholson. This will look at how the adoption and diffusion of innovation can be accelerated across the NHS.
