The release of a second wave of emails and documents from the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia won’t derail climate science as climategate did in 2009, Edward Acton, vice-chancellor of UEA, said on 23 November. The latest climategate files, including more than 5,000 emails, have been posted anonymously on a server in Russia. Acton said the university had yet to confirm the authenticity of the emails, but it seemed this wasn’t a fresh security breach.
