ScotGov: estimates of public sector procurement expenditure on food and drink in Scotland

The Scottish Government invites applications for a study on the estimates of public sector procurement expenditure on food and drink in Scotland.

The study will aim to estimate the size of the market for public sector food and drink procurement in Scotland and the products purchased. The objectives are: to estimate the food and drink expenditure data for the whole of Scotland at aggregate level and split by sector; to estimate the share of food and drink expenditure data by type of provision and levels of Scottish produce; to report the practice of public bodies on sustainable procurement and factors they take into account when awarding food and drink contracts; to provide information related to the number and type of contracts and the expressions of interest from SMEs in Scotland; to provide information on budgeted food costs per day and pressures.
