Students launch high-court bid against tuition-fee rise

Two A-level students have launched a High Court challenge against tuition-fee increases on the grounds that they discriminate against students from disadvantaged backgrounds, reported the Press Association on 1 November.

Callum Hurley and Katy Moore, both 17, will be represented by the Birmingham-based firm Public Interest Lawyers. They argue that the increased fees breach an article in the European Convention on Human Rights, which protects against discrimination.
