The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs invites applications for its competitive maize cultivation with reduced environmental impact study.
The focus should be on developing in-field measures that minimise environmental impacts before, during and after maize cultivation. There is a need to better understand how strip tillage can best be implemented to reduce soil erosion and diffuse pollution and prove resources for biodiversity without incurring competitively detrimental impacts on yield and cost-margins.
