The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs invites applications for projects to give evidence to support the development of a sustainability roadmap for soft drinks.
The project will: characterise the soft drinks sector and the existing supply chains; identify and collate existing environmental impacts and resource efficiency data, both via businesses and activities such as the British Soft Drink Association sustainability initiative, WRAP studies and initiatives, climate change agreements, the Product Research Forum, the Courtauld Commitment, and the Federation House Commitment; identify all major relevant sustainability initiatives, both industry and government-led, certification schemes, and relevant regulations; identify all major relevant international sustainability initiatives and international sector bodies/ organisations to take into account how they might fit with the roadmap project; for each supply chain/sub-sector, identify data gaps and propose practical ways of addressing the gaps.
