EDF Energy warns of “productivity challenge” in UK nuclear build

The energy company EFD Energy, which plans to build a new UK nuclear reactor in Somerset, has said the construction costs could rise due to poor industrial relations, the Daily Telegraph reported on 13 December.

Vincent de Rivaz, the company’s chief executive, told the newspaper that that there was a “productivity challenge” that must be overcome to deliver new nuclear plants affordably.
