Some 77 per cent of manufacturing leaders around the world are concerned about the increasing scarcity of rare minerals and metals, a survey by the accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has found.
The survey, “Minerals and metals scarcity in manufacturing: the ticking timebomb”, was conducted through interviews with 69 senior executives in manufacturing industries including automotives, aviation, hi-tech, chemicals, energy, and infrastructure. Businesses were located in Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.
