Space manufacturer Astrium UK has been selected as the main contractor for a £38.8 million project that forms part of a £68.3m European Space Agency satellite mission to monitor atmospheric chemistry. Astrium will develop the platform for the mission—the Sentinel-5 Precursor satellite—as well as parts of the satellite. Mission launch is set for early 2015.
