The Met Office science strategy is under investigation by Parliament after questions over its achievability, robustness and the role of its chief scientific adviser emerged last week. The House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee is looking in particular at the remit of the Met Office’s Public Weather Service, after a series of wrong predictions last year.
