Google chairman attacks UK’s failure to capitalise on innovation

Eric Schmidt, chairman of Google, has said the UK has failed to exploit its successful innovations in science and engineering, reported the Guardian on 26 August.

Schmidt made the comments when giving the annual MacTaggart lecture at the MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival.
