Sales of Science book soar as teen hacker seen with copy

Amazon UK sales of science writer Michael Brooks’ latest book Free Radicals have skyrocketed since alleged teenage hacker Jake Davis was seen with a copy of it outside court on 1 August.

The book, which suggests that some of the world’s most productive scientists have an anti-authoritarian streak, has climbed from 2,809 to 57 in Amazon UK’s bestsellers’ list in a single day.
