Universities asked to report ‘vulnerable’ Muslim students

Under an updated strategy on tackling Islamic radicalism, university employees have been asked to notify the police about depressed or isolated Muslim students, The Guardian reported on 29 August.

The article said officials implementing the government’s new Prevent strategy were coaching university staff in identifying students considered potentially vulnerable to Islamic extremism.
