The Wellcome Trust and Universities UK have commented on the government’s response to the Hargreaves review on intellectual property and growth.
The government announced on 3 August that it accepted all recommendations in the review, including allowing researchers to use text and data-mining techniques, even though these involve copying media to run association-seeking software.
