Defra: threats to marine ecosystems in the UK Overseas Territories in the Caribbean

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs invites expressions of interest for small research projects on understanding the impact and addressing threats to marine ecosystems in the UK Overseas Territories in the Caribbean.

These projects should address one or more of the following marine research priorities: identifying and quantifying the scale and nature of the impact of threats to marine ecosystems, including ecological impact, and where practicable associated social and economic impacts; developing solutions to address these threats and their impacts. Solutions must take into consideration the legislative, policy, administrative, financial and practical context of the Overseas Territories. The geographic scope includes one or more of the Caribbean UK Overseas Territories (Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Montserrat, Turks and Caicos Islands).
