UCAS plans shake-up of university entrance system

The Universities and Colleges Admission Agency is proposing radical changes in the process through which students apply for undergraduate courses, according to a report in The Guardian newspaper.

UCAS, the body responsible for coordinating applications for degree courses, is suggesting that from 2016, pupils should apply to university once they have received their A-level results, rather than with their predicted grades as they do now.
