The UK company AWE and the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory have joined a laser lab at the US National Ignition Facility to develop clean energy from nuclear fusion, the BBC reported on 9 September.
A memorandum of understanding was announced between the three organisations at a meeting at London’s Royal Society earlier this week.
