Wind energy technology centre opens in Glasgow

Scotland’s first minister, Alex Salmond, officially opened a £12.5 million centre in Glasgow which will develop next-generation offshore wind technology on 28 September.

He was joined by Jorge Calvet, chief executive of a leading international turbine manufacturer, Gamesa, which will operate the centre.
