Andrew Wakefield, the disgraced doctor responsible for the controversy linking the MMR vaccine with autism, is suing the editor-in-chief of the British Medical Journal for defamation, the Guardian reports.
A complaint filed by lawyers acting for Wakefield in a district court in Texas alleges that articles, editorials and other statements that appeared in the BMJ were “false and make defamatory allegations” about him.
